Visitors of The Shard tower can hop on a Virtual Reality slide simulation above London’s skyline

The UK’s tallest building, The Shard has introduced two VR experiences designed to test tourists’ fear level when visiting the one of the latest attractions of London. While visitors enjoy the panoramic views 300m above the city, on the very same 72nd floor they can also test out a virtual reality slide simulation around a CGI version of The Shard tower.

If you’ve ever wished that London’s tallest building was a giant helter-skelter, the experience can be yours now, at least through VR goggles. Guests are strapped on a sloped platform that moves beneath them, while the 100mph imaginary open-air tube ride around the skyscraper lasts two minutes.

There’s also another VR experience where you walk across iron beams of the building, balancing above London’s skyline.
